This Saturday (January 9th) at 8am, you are invited to participate in a “mission” coordinated by the Intentionals. People from all over Fort Wayne will be serving coffee and hot chocolate to those waiting in line outside the Community Harvest Food Bank. Here’s more from their website:
Since this is an Intentional act of kindness done by a group of ordinary people and not an organization, we’re going to need your help in bringing coffee to share.
Consider stopping by your favorite coffee shop and picking up a to-go bucket of coffee. Brew a pot at home and bring it in thermos or an air pot. Contact your favorite coffee shop and see if they’ll donate something. You could even bring a box of donuts or some baked goods.
The point of this mission is to provide a little warmth on a cold morning to some people in a tough spot this winter and to show them love through service. We want as many people and families as possible to show up and share a cup of coffee with a stranger.
If you would like to be part of the core team that will help organize this event, email us at theintentionals@gmail.com. We’re going to need people to help get organized, give direction and clean up.
Stay tuned for more details as they get planned.
Check out the details at the Intentionals website.
